Cable plasticates

About product

Plasticates are thermoplastic materials resulting from the processing of PVC compositions; they are produced in the form of granules. Depending upon the sphere of application and operating conditions, plasticates are furnished with different characteristics. This is achieved by the use of plasticizers and stabilizing and modifying agents in different combinations.

PVC plasticates have high mechanical stability and water resistance, high thermal stability to low temperatures and good insulation qualities; they are not dissolved by benzene and kerosene, are abrasion-resistant and acid- and alkali-resistant. PVC plasticates have excellent welding and gluing properties.

Application

Cable plasticates are used in cable production to make insulation and sheaths for wire and cables. The main end-consumers of PVC cable products are the energy and construction industries.
